Our aim at Pyrenees Apartments is to ensure each of our clients and guests have the great time here with us in the Pyrenees. Rob, Rachel and the Pyrenees apartments team are committed that your holiday with us will exceed your expectations.
We have over 17 years of knowledge and information about this area of the high pyrenees. We had always spent our holidays here and loved the area so much that we moved to this area of un-spoilt France. The knowledge we have is freely available to all those who come to stay here whether for a cycling holiday, ski break, or walking and wildlife holidays we have guides and the knowledge to make your holiday here a memorable experience.
Moreover, we are able to offer a personal but professional approach, information and support. As a small family company we pride ourselves in offering a good and caring service.
Furthermore, we know all our houses, gites and apartments well and when you discuss them with us it is safe in the knowledge that we have seen all the houses and apartments we offer and, in order to maintain and improve standards, we are constantly working with owners and their appointed agents.

In 2009 we will be also changing the way we take payment our prices from January 2009 all monies will be taken in Euros.
This is due to big fluctuations pound £- € euro; € euro exchange in 2008, sometimes the price shown on our site does not always necessarily correspond to the credit card companies € euro; charges and exchange rates.
To avoid any confusion in exchange rates all our prices will be shown in euros €; on all websites. This will not affect the way we take payments you can still pay by credit card, bank transfers or by cheque French or English the amount will taken as a € euro - £ pound exchange. We hope that for you our clients this will make things easier & clearer.
HOW TO BOOK.... PAY EITHER BY CHEQUE OR CREDIT CARD
Having confirmed availability with us in Bareges, send your completed booking form with a deposit of 50% of the total holiday price if 8 weeks before then the total amount is required. Pay either by UK cheque or fill out the "Payment by Credit Card" section on the booking form or you can call us with all your details.
You can also email your booking to us - info@lessorbiers.co.uk upon receipt of your booking form we will send you our booking confirmation. The balance of your holiday costs must be paid 8 weeks before departure date, bookings made within this time must be accompanied by the full payment. All UK credit card payments are accepted in euros at the interbank exchange rate of the day this will be quoted on your booking confirmation after payment is taken.
Once a booking has been confirmed neither deposits nor insurance premiums are transferable or refundable.
Flights to be paid at time of booking, monies are not refundable.
Some guided activities and transport trips that have not been pre-booked are paid for in Bareges in euros either directly or indirectly dependent on the activity.
INSURANCE
Please ensure you have adequate insurance to cover medical expenses, cancellation etc.
We strongly recommend that you have an E111 which enables most medical costs to be refunded through the social security system.
CANCELLATIONS
Cancellations must be made in writing and will be effective from the date received. The following scale of charges will apply; 8 weeks and more 25% of deposit, no refunds 8 weeks and less 100%.
AIRLINES RESPONSIBILITIES
When you travel with a carrier the conditions of that carrier apply. Any claims resulting from transport services should be directed to the carrier concerned. If there are transport delays the carrier is responsible for your welfare.
FINANCIAL PROTECTION
Les Sorbiers cannot be held responsible for any changes or cancellations to your holiday due to wars, threat of war, terrorism, industrial action, strikes, airport closures etc.

new route for summer 2010, from Manchester Airport to Lourdes.
The summer service to Lourdes commences on 30 April 2010 and will operate until 01 October 2010. bmibaby expects to carry over 9,000 passengers on the route over the summer months and flights will operate on Mondays and Fridays.
bmibaby is currently the only low cost carrier to operate flights from Manchester to Lourdes and prices will start from just £37.99 one way including taxes and charges.

Charter Flights:
Tagney Tours based in London have been running charter flights from the UK to Lourdes for 25 years. They are offering free transport for you bike in 2009. Flights depart Stanstead every Friday and most Mondays at 11:00 and arrive in Lourdes at 15:00. The cost is €105 or £95 each way. 25kg baggage allowance.

DRIVING

Boulogne 12hrs. We can provide route guides. A crossing into Northern Spain (Bilbao/
Santander) gives a very easy drive to Bareges. Otherwise a crossing to one of the more westerly Channel ports saves time, best driving route via Bordeaux, and the A64 autoroute passes close to Lourdes.
TRAIN
Take the EUROSTAR train from the new St Pancras eurolink through the TUNNEL to Paris or Lille from where the TGV ATLANTIQUE serves Lourdes five times daily from Lille Eurogare or Montparnasse station. There is also a nightly sleeper "couchette" from Paris Austerlitz. There is a bus connection from Lourdes station to Bareges. London - Lourdes from £125 return, book a month ahead to benefit from early booking discounts. French Railways (SNCF) also offers excellent value "railrover" and family railcards. Highly recommended by all who come this way book online at www.sncf.fr or with Rail Europe.
CAR HIRE
A car booked in advance in the UK through any of the other main car hire operators (Hertz, Avis, Budget, Europcar etc.) offers up to a 100% saving on the rates available in France from £125 per week. Most major companies have an office at Pau airport. Avis & Europcar have an office at Lourdes or Lourdes Tarbes railway station.
So if you are looking for mountain based summer or winter accommodation in a magnificent mountain setting, the best thing to do is contact us with rental dates in mind and with an idea from the website as to which property will match your requirements.
